Mission Statement
The mission of Ginsburg Gals, MedEd is to promote medical student success on exams in the preclinical curricula through self-assessment, evaluation, and fun.
Vision
The vision of Ginsburg Gals, MedEd is to build confidence in professional students by providing self-assessments that allow students to enjoy the learning experience. We aim to establish a solid foundation in the basic sciences through engaging stories and humor, which serve as the building blocks for success on curricular assessments and exams. Via consistent self-driven evaluation and feedback throughout the Basic Science curriculum, the review for board exams will begin at day one rather than cramming for a short period of "dedicated" study time.

Our Story
Our founders, Dr. Kim Moscatello and Dr. Erika Allen, have spent a combined 35 years in medical education, witnessing firsthand how students struggle with and eventually overcome the challenges of medical school. This experience fuels MCQ (Middle Child Question Bank), a learning platform explicitly designed for first-year and second-year students.
Platform
During their time in the classroom, Drs. Moscatello and Allen noticed a vital missing piece. Between MCATs and board exam prep, the learning platforms that students relied on to study for exams weren’t as effective. There had to be more help during the first two years of medical school and in between those major milestones. There had to be more ways for students to self-assess, continually identify weaknesses, and complement the classroom experience. They heard far too many students say, “I really thought I knew this,” following a poor test result.
Process
So our founders went to work. They put together a platform for MSI and MSII students that references commonly used med school textbooks, ensuring that wherever you’re studying, MCQ can help. They injected some much-needed humor and pop culture into the learning materials, ensuring you don’t fall asleep at your desk. MCQ will also focus on user wellness because our founders have intimate knowledge of students and understand that mental health struggles are more prevalent among medical students and extend beyond school hours.
Results
The result is an affordable, empowering platform created by longtime faculty. Our platform covers the basic science disciplines that every medical student must master to succeed in the curriculum and eventually be eligible to sit for their board exams.
You deserve help. Get it with MCQ.
What makes MCQ different?
MCQ is focused on the preclinical medical curriculum during the first two years of medical school rather than board exams.
MCQ stands for "Middle Child Question Bank" which is a fun, educational space between the MCAT and Step I board exams that are often forgotten, like the middle child, or so they say.
MCQ was developed by Medical school faculty who listened to students year after year asking for practice questions to study for their exams. We created practice questions with our own twist of fun to help students learn.
MCQ is specifically for the student. We will not sell to your educational institutions so they can stalk you, we think you deserve privacy to study and learn at your own pace.
MCQ has a wellness feature to help you stay healthy and combat the struggles of school and life.
